    i cannot figure out how to pick up a single thing.

      Treat it like telekinesis:
      Hold the crosshair over something to command it. You need to keep the crosshair on it as it moves or you’ll drop it.
      M2 pulls it towards you, M1 pushes it away. W elevates it, S lowers, A + D to move it left and right.
      Took me a while to get the hang but I ate the SHIT out of that meal.

    I get the feeling this is only playable if your mouse settings are similar to the developer.

    Can’t really get good control over it – but what few morsels I did eat I did so with great relish.

    Okay, since no one can finish this, after you eat your food you eat the silverware and plates.
    Then you start eating the chairs and tables.
