thanks for posting the game!
if anyone wants to share what they think about it, that’d be awesome.
I really liked the game, but every few minutes it would slow down to unplayable speeds… stay like that for a minute or two and then play fine. Very likely it’s something to do with my system, but both the downloaded and web versions acted the same way. I really like the idea and could see it doing well with even more customization, more enemy types, etc.
Sorry about that 🙁 I wouldn’t expect the web and downloadable versions to behave any differently. Don’t know right off the bat what would be causing it, it maybe as you said and specific to your system, but if you can drop some specs I can try to find any correlation between that and Unity or my project.
Thanks for the kind words, though! I’ve originally had a much grander vision of the game, mainly to include more RPG elements such as status effects and what not, as well as some precedural generated quests and more interesting level generation. I’m considering refactoring the project a bit and put out a more feature packed version for something like five dollars, or free if I can find a job.
i doubt it’s your fault. The game really does have some real promise. Good luck on finding a job.
the visual elements (colored radiance beneath entities, rooms popping up from the void) are my favorite point of the game
Thanks! The glow line effect took some doing, mostly because I was looking to do it in a way I would’ve done it in DirectX/OpenGL but wasn’t available to me in Unity, but I think I got a nice end result out of it.
