  1. This is matt thorsons masterpiece, a fantastic metroidvania with a gigantic world to explore and tons of upgrades to find. For those who want to see some gameplay, check out raocow’s excellent LP of this game: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ckGp4pGAF_I

  2. If you haven’t played this, your life is significantly poorer for it.

This was the first Matt Thorson game I ever played, so I had no idea what to expect. I remember clearing a few of the initial areas and saying aloud: “What a charming little game”.

Then I had that impression beaten out of me with a hammer. And I loved it.

  3. I completely agree with the previous comments. This is one amazing game.

  4. I totally fucking adore this game. Magnificent stuff.

  5. Wow, I’ve played so many of Matt’s games without realizing they were from the same person. This one, which I hadn’t played (though I could swear I’ve seen the statue a couple screens to the right of the start point before), is truly excellent. I’m sure glad this guest-post format has allowed for some more older games to be revisited here, else I might never have seen this, or had assumed I’d already played it.

  6. This is truly a great game. Possibly the best freebie that I’ve had the pleasure to play!

  7. Forget even the “free” part — this is one of my favorite games.

  8. I never got into this game. The graphics I just couldn’t deal with. I really really really like the jumper games and flail, though.
