I think it worked, but I felt a couple of things got in the way of the mood for me. – it felt weird not being able to use my paws as a cat, especially as the monologue mentions ‘scratching’ ‘catching insects’ etc. – the autonomous non-roomba vacuum cleaner was frankly bizarre. – the splash screen after the ending was jarring.

Didn’t stop me from tearing up, though.
