  1. Is there a way to win? I’m at level 9 and I feel like I’ve seen all there is to see. Creepy girl who disapears, life up by killing little black things with pentigrams or flame spurts, maybe the monster health you up too, not sure. Rinse and repeat. And repeat, and repeat.

    • Level 11 this time. Have to actually kill the badguys to get a boost, but it doesn’t matter what kills them. Though only pentigrams and flame spurts seem to work so far.

  2. This has good atmosphere and a good idea. It’s obviously limited by the small number of game elements (At level 12, I hadn’t seen any new elements beyond those introduced in the first 3 levels), but that’s presumably because it’s a jam game – could be expanded.

The real problem is, in my opinion, the linear nature of the random levels. Nearly all branches tend to have one quick dead-end and the other being the only real way to go. This means that it’s hard to sneak past the enemies or avoid them, or have any real decision making power. You just keep luring the enemies on to flame traps over and over because that’s your only choice.
