neat variant on swift*stitch style gameplay. once you get a feel for the controls, navigating the levels becomes really satisfying.
could’ve done without all of the camera gimmicks though. i realize that this is a jam game and all, but it still feels like a lazy way of ramping up the difficulty.
hi Justin. Thanks for the comment. Swift*Stitch, Super Hexagon and QWOP were actually huge influences on the creation of this game.
Thanks for playing also.
I agree with the the gimmicks. Time frame required a way of making the game seem longer. With more time I would have opted for more Malevolent levels (like a sort of new game + ) .
Cheers,
and if you wish you should check out https://www.facebook.com/SuperXCVB for more information on the sequel(sort of but more like a full better release)
Yeah I can’t say this made my day or anything. I think after playing enough of droqen’s games I hold abstract arcade to a very high standard.
It was very difficult to get the controls down, though, which is good. It reminded me of Coral!
Thanks to whoever posted this here.I am the creator of this game. I really appreciate it’s place here.
Also yes. I agree that the camera shaking was indeed a lazy way of ramping up the difficulty and in the fully featured sort-of sequel Super X.C.V.B no such gimmicks will be used.
If you’re interested in the full release check out https://www.facebook.com/SuperXCVB for more news on development. And give it a like XD
