Wow, this is quite promising. The art is amazing. I wish more people would do graceful characters like this with realistic (as opposed to blocky, cartoonish) proportions.
I’m stuck at the place where the sparking out of control elevator(?) goes up the shaft over and over. It seems like we’re supposed to cross the gap but I’m not sure how that’s possible.
I was able to make it by just holding shift as I jumped over, so that I grabbed the ledge on the other end.
There appears to be some bugs with ledge hanging, though, as Stephen discovered when he tried to play it. So sadly it might just not be working on your computer 🙁
The hunched over animation when you crouch down and run is so beautifully feral, I love it.
Trying to advance through the messed-up ledge system where you restart the whole level if you die is bullshit though.
It is, but the whole game is only about two-three minutes long when you know what you’re doing, and it does have a couple of checkpoints.
– The main thing I love about this game: that it feels alien and new to me, because it’s heavily inspired by games I haven’t really played, and in a language I don’t understand
– The gun! I love that the game isn’t afraid to let you use this dangerous thing on anyone including what are probably important NPCs. I love that you apparently don’t need to find it at all, and that you can still finish the game that way.
– What is that login screen in the starting office that you can access if you shoot the guy in there? Can anyone work that out?
So this is doable without knowing Russian? I hesitated when Gamin.ru posted because it seemed dialogue heavy.

Uhm… From the synopsis, Process seems identical to a 2011 movie I liked a lot, Source Code.
It’s not,actually. And the concept behind it was done before Source Code was announced, as far as i remember. It’s has a more of a Silent Hill-ish feel to it, i guess.

I finally got around to trying this. It makes me wonder why there haven’t been more games with these sorts of Prince of Persia/Out of This World/Another World controls. (Maybe because they require this sort of smooth, time-consuming character animation to read properly?)
I never picked up the gun, and the game seems to have ended in a situation in which a gun might have been useful. (The end-screen says “KOHEU?” followed by what looks to be an epigraph and the game-maker’s signature.) Is the scene with the muggers the last you all reached as well?
