I tried this out, but I was stuck in the first environment (with the plate). I tried to interact with all the objects, but I wondered whether I was missing something with the controls.
There’s a middle click action to bring up the inventory. (I should add that to the description, actually)
After I murdered him I got stuck. Couldn’t click the crystal once it was in my inventory, not sure if that’s a bug. Did you beat it Terry?
I like the game, it has a nice feel to it.
Yeah, if you take the crystal back to the start of the game and use it, the Volcano opens up. The end is worth seeing.

Is there anything you can use the coconut for?
I also don’t understand why there’s a counter on the murderguy’s wall, nor why his prisoners disappear when you kill him. And is there a way to go past the large couldron that blocks the path? Lots of unanswered questions…
You can give the coconut to the man in the volcano. If you examine him after that, his description becomes “My friend.”
A nice touch of warmth coming from a game that will plunge you into eternal torment a few screens down!
Oh, and make sure you get both endings folks!
Wait, how do you get the other ending?
If you refuse to cut open the meat crab you get a butcher knife which you can use to cut off the hands of the man shackled in the cave, which he thanks you for.
On the other hand, if you butcher the meat crab for the stew (what a grotesque scene, by the way), you can feed the stew to the same man, and he will curse you for prolonging his suffering.
The difference in the two “endings” pretty much amounts to the interior dialogue you get as you fall into the heart of the volcano. The text in the fortune ball changes between the two runs as well.
