At one point in the game, you’ll find a “Storybook drawn in crayon”. This plays a video which seems to crash the game if you’re playing in fullscreen. I was able to get it to work by changing to a window for that scene, though.
For those that don’t know or may feel a bit too lazy to look, the Alt+Enter and F4 both toggle Fullscreen in RPG Maker games, except in the rare cases where the developers go out of their way to prevent this, or assign a different functions to said keys.

Oh, completely forgot: If you don’t want to do that because you feel it ruins the ambiance to go to the desktop, it’s possible to continue the game without seeing the video.
You can beat the game even without that video if you don’t read the book but if you really want to see it then you could use a video player that suites the file of search for the gamefile IB>movie>book_1.avi

There are some interesting differences from the original Japanese version. For example, the Marvelous Night puzzle required manual entry rather than being multiple choice (which makes it far more puzzly, really).
hey my game crashed even in window mode…. can u continue without watching the story?
I`ve watched people play this game and i was dying to try it out for myself. I downloaded it, and rigth after I go to start a new game, it crashes and says `not impelmented` 🙁

I am currently having a problem with the game, it is loading well and all that stuff, but the up arrow just wont work, it works normally on my laptop just not the game. it started acting up at the door that needs a pass with all the hanging dolls. the first time it crashed was when i was going to check out the door for a second time, it just kept coming up,like when you press enter on it the first time it comes up with the code thing then i pressed enter because i didnt know the code and then it said something like”nothing happened” then i pressed enter then it pressed enter by itself and i was stuck like that, and it just kept repeating and repeating and repeating…….. I have tried redownloading it and also downloading on other website. 🙁 I’m sorry I wrote a lot i just want to be as descriptive as much as i could. Please Help. My laptop is Acer, windows 7 Ultimate, I have got the RPG Maker thing that was required.
I wonder if somehow the ‘up arrow’ key was reconfigured to something else. I wonder if there’s an .ini file with the game or if the keys can be reconfigured using RPGMaker.

It is finally working, all i did was reinstall the RPG Maker thing and then run Ib and now it is working. Thank you very much for the idea! 😮
