Carny Death Peddlers (Adam Domurad, Clay Bullard, Glock, Mr8Bit)

Hi, this is my first post here but game dev has been a longtime hobby for me.
Over the course of the last 1.5 months, I made a beat ‘em up for a compo with a programmer. He did all the code, I did all the artwork. He’s used to coding in C++ but we used GM so I could do level design without learning a language. We also got music from some cool music dudes.
It was a glorious thing, and as an artist I learned a lot (mostly about animations and graphicsgale, which I never attempted as seriously this before). Because of the timeframe, we couldn’t squeeze in a lot. So bearing that in mind, here’s our game. – [Author's Description]

Atticus and Boy Electronic (Bloomengine)

A person once said this:
“But there can be no dramatic irony in videogames, because dramatic irony depends on a knowledge differential between spectator and protagonist — yet in a videogame the player is both spectator and protagonist at once.”
This is an experiment to see if it could be done. It cheats a little because there are two protagonists. – [Author's description]
