What do you think about moving the locust shell picture at the beginning to the end of that section? I dunno, might give it more of a sense of mystery at the start. Obviously, there’s a lot more to the story beyond that segment, but that was my first wish when I started reading, was that I had more time to subsume myself in the prose before being told what I was experiencing.
