Locomalito is the freaking bomb and had actually abandoned this game until I kept bugging him to finish it over Twitter, haha. Boy am I glad that he did. I’m not sure I’ve played any modern game that emulates what that old arcade feel as well as Gaurodan does.

Feels great, looks great, fun to play — and completely merciless. All of which is to be expected if you’ve played any of Locomalito’s other games.

More than worth a few minutes (or hours) of your time.

(My favorite Locomalito game — and the one I kept playing the longest — is still, without doubt, Viriax. I mention it not to shine this game in a grayer light, but because it predates FIGames by a number of years and ought to be mentioned here somewhere.)
