I just finished the PSP version of this, and am about to start Book of Shadows. I’ll have to give this a look and see how different it is.
It’s quite a bit different feel, since it’s the original ’98 version. I know what you mean, I also played the PSP version first.
I’ll say this: the fact that it’s made in RPGMaker makes more sense. I really can’t say why they kept the RPGMaker ‘feel’ in the remake, because it felt seriously out of place.
