“One Day, the World” is a minimalistic platformer created with Game Maker 8. It have simple graphics, eerie music and much effort behind it…. I have to thank Terry Cavanagh, a great indie developer (Terry, the Cemetary is a homage to you!). Without his works I wouldn’t be here creating games… Thanks, Terry, from the bottom of my heart. – [Author's description]

Hah, wow – what do I even say to a description like that?
It’s an honour to inspire anyone
Anyway, nice find Aquin! I just played through most of this (got stuck at what I thought was the final boss), and it’s very cool. The story didn’t do much for me, but I really like the level and world design.
D’aaaaw
Yeah, I like the art-style but the collision detection is really pissin’ me off. Still, I’m convinced this guy (girl? robot?) could have a future if he goes for it.
EDIT: I’m wussing out with the Easy download.
IT’S CERTAINLY HARD ENOUGH TO BE INSPIRED BY YOUR GAMES
i like the scale changes between screens but i couldn’t finish this game.
Am I dreaming? Is my game really on this blog?
I think I’m gonna cry =’)
Ending 2/3
There’s three endings? I’m guessing it’s based on the number of deaths…
I only found one or two places where hit detection made the platforming rather frustrating, but for everything else I just fell victim to hyperactive spikes and I think one enemy that was stuck in a little space where it becomes difficult to kill it without being hit oneself.
Also, there was an Easy version available? Haha, oh well.
I really enjoyed this game! I too didn’t realise there was an easier version because I almost gave up towards the end. I liked the first half of the game a lot better. It seemed better paced and the firefly thing was interesting. I don’t really get what the point of it was though. Ending 2/3, wonder what the others are? Could be something to do with those angels or how many enemies you destroy maybe.
Beautifully addictive, corruptly frustrating! If you’re interested you may like to watch Let’s Play: One Day, The World on Prescription Pixel! http://youtu.be/ucg4UEp3QHw
